Juanjo Alarcón

Independent analyst and researcher on China-Taiwan relations and the Indo-Pacific region. Teaching cross-strait relations and other Indo-Pacific topics in online Master's Degrees at the University eCampus and the Pegaso Università Telematica of Italy, the King Juan Carlos University of Madrid, the UCAM of Murcia and the International Institute for Global Security Studies (INISEG). Lecturer and author of books and articles on geopolitics, security, defense and Islamic terrorism, among other topics. He holds a BA and an MA in Translation & Conference Interpreting from Barcelona's UAB; he studied Mandarin Chinese at both Tianjin Foreign Studies University (TFSU) and Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU); he taught Translation & Conference Interpreting from Chinese into Spanish at BFSU for three academic years (2014-2016). In love with languages, of which he speaks 5 fluently (ES, CA, EN, FR, ZH) and has a high command in a couple more (PT, IT).
